Brenda Sissel Has Gone To Be With God

Brenda S. Sissel, of Lizella, Georgia (wife of association member Joe Sissel, survivor, 1969), went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 23, 2010.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 with the Reverend Jeff Powell officiating. Burial is in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Family may be contacted at 311 Woodpoint Court, Lizella, GA 31052. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon, GA 31201 or American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 4406, Macon, GA 31208. After a year-long battle with cancer, Brenda passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Lizella. Brenda was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Michael Tallent and Kenneth Tallent. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Sissel of Lizella; parents, Mae and Creed Tallent of Chesterton, IN; son, Jeffrey Sissel (his wife Amanda) of Warner Robins; daughter, Susan Zupko (her husband Michael) of Monroe, GA; sister, Jurline Aloia (her husband Emil) of Crete, IL; brother, William Tallent (his wife Julie) of Knoxville, TN; sister, Glenda Kramer of Dublin, OH; brother, David Tallent (his wife Karen) of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Diane Harris (her husband Mel) of Jamestown, TN; five grandchildren, Haley Sissel, McKenzie Broome, Mylan Sissel, and Elizabeth and George Zupko; and many nieces and nephews.

Please keep our shipmate Joe in your prayers has he goes through these difficult times.
